![]() ![]() I went into this book, assuming it would be horror with a lot of gore. I don’t think I would’ve bought the physical book if it wasn’t for the fact that the library hold for this title was so long. It was nice and showed how well the story held on to my attention. It’s been a really long time since I picked up a physical book and spent a Saturday only reading. ![]() It’s not a long book, and I was able to finish it in one day. I felt that I was living in that environment, that time-period. Right off the bat, The Devil All the Time sets up the tone and atmosphere skillfully. I was beginning to hear positive reviews for the film. The book took a long time to ship to me, so the movie was already released by the time it arrived on my doorstep. They rated the book highly, so I wanted to read it first and then decide if I’ll watch the movie. It looked exciting, but it wasn’t until I saw Booktuber, Kat aka paperbackdreams and her father review this on their channel that I learned it is based on a book. I thought it was cool to see Tom Holland take on a darker role compared to his character in the MCU. That’s how I first heard of The Devil All the Time.
